Hearst Walleye Challenge
is a walleye fishing tournament based in Hearst, Ontario on the Chain of Lakes. Hanlan Lake, Wolverine Lake, Pivabiska Lake. (Ste-Therese Lake and Fushimi Lake are excluded).
Anglers are welcome to take the challenge in teams of two.
Meet The Team
Guillaume Boisvert
Born and raised in Hearst, working as a paramedic for the last five years. On my days off you can catch me either fishing or hunting. I have been an avid angler for as long as I can remember. I have always wanted to see the comeback of an NOWT event in Hearst. I will be a great asset for this team, bringing my years of experience with the Hearst Anglers and Hunters Club.
Né et élevé à Hearst, travaillant comme paramédic pour les cinq dernières années. Pendant mes jours de congé, je suis à la pêche ou à la chasse. Je suis un pêcheur passionné depuis aussi longtemps que je me souvienne. J’ai toujours voulu voir le retour d’un événement NOWT à Hearst. Je serai un grand atout pour cette équipe, apportant mes années d’expérience avec le Club Chasse et Pêche de Hearst.
Suzie Longtin
I work for the Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry. I love everything that has to do with the outdoors, camping, hunting, fishing. I volunteered at the MFN fishing tournaments for a few years and fell in love with the energy of organizing an event like this and the competitive yet friendly environment between anglers. I am beyond excited to help bring the Hearst Walleye Challenge to life.
Je travaille au Ministère des Richesses Naturelles et des Forêts. J’aime tout ce qui a à voir avec le plein air, le camping, la chasse, la pêche. Je suis bénévole aux tournois de pêche de MFN Fishing depuis quelques années et je suis tombé en amour avec l’énergie de l’organisation d’un tel événement et aussi l’environnement compétitif mais convivial entre les pêcheurs-pêcheuses. Je suis très excité de voir enfin l’arrivé du Hearst Walleye Challenge dans notre communauté.
Julie Roy-Hébert
Hello! I’m Julie Roy, mom of 4 daughters and co-owner of Veilleux Camping and Marina. I am from Hearst and I intend to stay there for a long time!! I’m a lazy at heart: I like to relax on the edge of the pool or at the beach, except that I’m also a go-getter and a “goal digger”! My enthusiasm and passion for organizing large-scale events means that I will be able to contribute my vision of things in organizing this derby! My moto: Go big or Go Home!!
I don’t know anything about fishing, but I guarantee that my leadership will contribute to the proper organization of this event! I’m looking forward to it!
Salut! Je suis Julie Roy, maman de 4 filles et co-propriétaire de Veilleux Camping & Marina. Je suis originaire de Hearst et j’ai bien l’intention d’y rester encore longtemps!! Je suis une paresseuse dans l’âme: j’aime relaxer sur le bord de la piscine ou de la plage, sauf que je suis aussi une fonceuse et une “goal digger”! Mon enthousiasme et ma passion pour l’organisation d’événements de grande envergure font que je pourrai apporter ma vision des choses dans l'organisation du HWC!
Je ne connais rien à la pêche, mais je vous garantit que mon leadership contribuera à la bonne organisation de cet évènement! Au plaisir!
Crystel Vallée
My name is Crystel Vallee. Mommy of one little 9 years old girl and proud co-owner of Typer’s Bait & Tackle with my hubby Sebastien Lizotte. My passion and my hobby is competitive tournament organizer.
I also sit on different committees such as the MFN Fishing, host of 2 NOWT events, the Longlac Walleye Masters & the Northern Ontario Walleye Trail. Also volunteering to the other NOWT sanctioned events.
Je m’appelle Crystel Vallée. Maman d’une petite fille de 9 ans et fière propriétaire de Typer’s Bait and Tackle avec mon mari Sébastien Lizotte. Ma passion et mon passe-temps sont d’organiser des tournois de pêche compétitifs.
Je siège également dans différents comités tels que, MFN Fishing, hôte de 2 événements du NOWT, le Longlac Walleye Masters et aussi sur le Northern Ontario Walleye Trail. Je suis aussi bénévole aux autres tournois du NOWT.
Mylène Coulombe-Gratton
Hey! I am Mylène Coulombe-Gratton. I am an outdoor guide for my business Follow Her North. I grew up doing every outdoor activities you can possibly do in Northern Ontario.
Helping in fishing events couldn't get any better than this for me. My strong leadership skills, organisation and outgoing personality are key assets to be part of this amazing team.
I am always rushing head first in new challenges and projects.

Hey! Je suis Mylène Coulombe-Gratton. Je suis guide de plein air pour mon entreprise Follow Her North. J'ai grandi en faisant toutes les activités de plein air que vous pouvez faire dans le Nord de l'Ontario.
Aider à des événements de pêche ne pouvait pas mieux tomber pour moi. Mes compétences en leadership, mon organisation et ma personnalité extravertie sont des atouts clés pour faire partie de cette équipe formidable.
Je me lance toujours tête première dans de nouveaux défis et projets.

Born and raised in Hearst, I've always loved the outdoors! I enjoy fishing the Chain of Lake, going to the cottage with my family and I also like chilling around the fire during Summer!
My wife and I own Veilleux Camping & Marina and we are thrilled to welcome all the anglers to our little paradise!
Né et ayant grandi à Hearst, j'ai toujours profité du plein air. J'aime particulièrement pêcher sur la chaîne des lacs, été comme hiver, me rendre au chalet en famille et relaxer autour d'un feu l'été!
Ma conjointe et moi sommes propriétaires de Veilleux Camping & Marina et pouvons ainsi partager notre passion avec nos visiteurs! Nous sommes très excités de recevoir tous les pêcheurs lors du prochain HWC!
